Obituary of Olga Henderson
Olga K. Henderson (nee Baggs), age 92 of Delran, formerly of Merchantville, passed away on April 3, 2016 at Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly, New Jersey.
Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Robert R.; Devoted mother of John F. (Susan) Henderson and Kathlene J. (Donald) Witzig; Loving grandmother of Jack (Cheryl Selah) Witzig, Stephen (Sally) Henderson, Amy (David) Czerviski, and Julie (Stanley IV) McGraw and step-grandmother of Terri (Chris) Joyce and Erica Witzig; Dear GiGi of Nathaniel and Adela Joyce and Stanley V, Wesley and Madeline McGraw.
Born in Merchantville, Olga was a lifelong Merchantville resident until 2012. She was an honors graduate of Merchantville High School Class of 1942, and worked for NJ Bell Telephone in the early 1940's, relocating during World War II to Maryland with her husband. Later in life, she worked as a library paraprofessional for Merchantville School and Merchantville Library. She was a founding member of the Merchantville Community Center, Woodbine Swim Club, and St. Clare's Thrift Shoppe at Grace Church. She was also a longtime member and former directress of the Grace Church Altar Guild, as well as a member of numerous bridge clubs and the Wellwood Auxiliary at Cooper Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Friday from 10 AM at Grace Episcopal Church, 7 East Maple Avenue, Merchantville, NJ 08109, where a Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to Grace Church at the above address.
