To the Skomsky Family, I recently learned of Leo's death when I was with friends from Camden Catholic. One of "the girls" had seen his obituary and told the rest of us. We were shocked and saddened to hear that he had died. Some of us, like me, went to St. Stephen School with Leo as well as CCHS. My family lived on the next block in Pennsauken from your family. There has been masses said at St Stephen's Church for the repose of Leo's soul. I was able to attend one of these masses. Although Leo and I were neighbors and classmates, I really don't think we said much to each other. He was just too good looking and I was a shy little thing!! But there is a connection people have when they share childhood experiences with each other. And there is deep sorrow when " one of our own " is missing from this earth. Rest in the Lord's Peace, Leo, and let's have a good conversation when I see you again! My condolences to the Skomsky Family and I loved what Al Turse wrote about Leo!!

I am sharing this story on Brian's behalf.
One lovely spring day in Pennsauken NJ, Joyce was baby sitting Brian. Brian would not listen to Joyce, so Joyce hit him with a belt. Brian pushed Joyce just when Leo walked into the house. Leo grabbed Brian and gave him the "boys dont hit girls" life lesson. As addtional punishment, Leo told Brian he was grounded for the night. Since Leo wanted to take a nap before wrestling practice, Leo went to his bedroom and made Brian sit in the closet while Leo took a nap. Brian fell asleep in the closet. Leo got up for dinner and forgot Brian was in the closet. No one had seen Brain for several hours and we were all worried about him as you were never late for dinne on Frosthoffer Avenue. Obviously, my Mom grounded him again for being late for dinner!! Life just is not fair!!
