Obituary of Helen Stella

Helen M. Stella (nee Elena Mary Primavera), age 99 of Pennsauken, passed away at her home on May 27, 2016. Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank F. and granddaughter Kristin DiBerardine; she is the devoted mother of Mary Lynne (Jack) Lewis of Indian Trail, NC, Janet (Dennis) DiBerardine of Haddon Twp., and Anita (Mark) Nicholson of Sicklerville; loving grandmother of Robert (Gina) Maro and Jessica Maro and great grandmother of 2. Mrs. Stella was born in Philadelphia, PA; and was a longtime member of St. Stephen Church in Pennsauken, where she was president of the Altar and Rosary Society. In her earlier years, Helen's greatest joy was hosting dinner parties for her many relatives and friends. She was a dedicated wife to Pennsauken sculptor Frank F. Stella, whose Christopher Columbus memorial monument resides on the Cooper River Parkway and is registered in the Smithsonian's American Art Museum. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday from 9 to 10 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Stephen, 6300 Browning Road in Pennsauken. Entombment will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill.
