Caruso (nee Falco), 76, of Voorhees, departed this life on Saturday morning February 12, 2011 in her home, after a 6 ½ years heroic battle with Ovarian Cancer. Beloved wife of 56 years to Robert. Devoted mother to Robyn Crain (Richard) of Berlin, Robert Jr. (Barbara) of Atco, Anthony (Melissa) of Voorhees, Andrea Cortellessa (Martin) of Northfield & Loret McClain (Stephen) of Berlin. Proud grandmother to Robert III, Bryan, Emily, AJ, Marty, Stephen, Madalyn & Ava. Also survived by her only sibling, Joseph Falco, of Mt. Laurel. Shirley was a homemaker while her children were small, working as a bookkeeper in her husband's business, Caruso Construction Co. As her children aged, she worked at Care Inn of Voorhees, Strawbridge & Clothier and PML Tours of Evesham Twp. Shirley attended Haddon Heights HS, where she met many friends that she maintained through her final days. Her greatest relationships were with her extended family- the Nasutis' and Falcos'. She so enjoyed the grand get togethers, the Cousins' Parties and Cousins luncheons throughout the years. Some of her fondest memories were summers at the family home in Brigantine- her 2 nd home from 1968-1999. Shirley was proud to host guests weekend after weekend year after year including our Labor Day Beach parties. She was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle, Gibbsboro, since its inception in 1964. Relatives and Friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 7 to 9 PM & Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle 120 United States Ave in Gibbsboro, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. She will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Berlin. Donations in Shirley's name can be made to the Cooper Cancer Institute, 900 Centennial Boulevard Suite M, Voorhees, NJ 08043.
