Obituary of William J. Bates
William J. Bates, Sr., age 78 of Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, passed away at Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury, New Jersey on September 4, 2016.
Predeceased by daughter Joann and grandson Robert J. Bates, Jr.; he is the beloved husband of Ethel (nee Kline); devoted father of William J. Jr. (JoAnn), David (Angel), Daniel (Gail), Robert (Michelle), Jeffrey Bates and Wendy (Walter) Barton; Loving grandfather of 28 and great grandfather of 17; dear brother of Allen and John Bates.
Mr. Bates was a graduate of Rutgers University in Camden and served with the Army National Guard for 10 years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with RCA in Camden for over 40 years, and he will be remembered for his love of the shore and casinos.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Bethel Memorial Park in Pennsauken.
