Obituary of Edwin Cortez

Edwin Cortez Jr., passed away on October 1, 2016 of Cherry Hill, formerly Camden at 41 years. Beloved husband of Christina (nee Caban); Devoted father of Edwin J. Cortez, Jazmine Gonzales, Optamara Cortez, Christian Cortez and Aiden Cortez; Cherished son of Vilma Rodriguez and Geraldo Zayas; Dear brother of Benjamin Cortez, Alex Cortez and Angel Cortez; Loving Godfather of Abvid Rivera and Jadalyn Caban; Also survived by his father and mother in law, sisters' and brothers' in law, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of family & friends. Edwin worked as a Housing Inspector with the Township of Mount Laurel and enjoyed remodeling homes on the side. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy Fans, but truthfully his first love was his family; he enjoyed spending time with them, vacations, watching them play sports and dance. He was truly a family guy and always gave a helping hand. He will be forever loved by all those he touched. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Friday from 7 to 9 PM and Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at the Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road in Pennsauken. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Edwin's name to: Nemours Alfred I.
