Laura Tart

Obituary of Laura B Tart

Laura Barbara-Lee Tart (Little Sis) was born December 6, 1938 in Camden New Jersey to the late Myrtle Tart and William Green, both of Camden New Jersey. Laura attended the Camden Public Schools. Upon completion of her education, she was employed at Mt. Laurel Convalescence Home as a Nurses Aide. It is no surprise that this line of work was chosen as Laura had a big heart and loved people and freely gave of herself to help all who crossed her path. Laura is survived by six of her seven children, Florence Lindsey, Kevin Tart, Christopher Tart, Oliver Tart, Bonita Warren and Herb LaRon Tart and the late Richard Tart. She also leaves behind two Sons in Law, Glenn Warren and Paul Lindsey, a niece, Marie Pennington also the last grandchild she actively help raise, Tiffany Warren as well as a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, cousins as well as other relatives and friends. One of Laura's biggest claims to fame was that she had the pleasure of meeting Chubby Checker "and claims", the phrase in his famous song The Twist, (you should see my little sis, she knows how to rock, she knows how to twist) was attributed to her. If you really knew our mother, you knew she relished her independence and enjoyed her life to the best of her abilities. She made you want to enjoy it with her. Her smile was as brilliant as her love of life and love of people. Thank you mom for being yourself! Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday from 10:30-11:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Road, where a Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11:30 AM.
