I want to express my condolences to the Nunez family for the loss of their mother. My childhood friends, Edie and Connie were always there for me. I wish that I were there to console them.
Doña Mary was an important part of my growing up in Camden. I loved spending time with her and to hear her cuentos. I loved her cooking. I will always cherish her warm, loving and caring self. However, don’t let her gregarious nature and diminutive size fool you. She was tough as nails! We didn’t dare cross her. She meant business.
