Obituary of Groves Acevedo Burgos

Groves Acevedo – Burgos of Sicklerville, formerly of Camden passed away peacefully on January 24, 2018 age 60 years. Devoted father of Michele (Michael) Mattison and Allesandra Burgos; Cherished grandfather of Julien & Emma; Dear brother of Hilda Torres, Juan "Sonny" Acevedo – Burgos, Carmelo Acevedo – Burgos, Emilia "Cookie" Santiago and Carmen Rodriguez; Beloved son of Emilia and the late Juan; Also survived by many nieces & nephews.

Groves was a proud Veteran of the Army and the New Jersey National Guard, while serving, he worked as an Executive Chef .He was an excellent writer especially of poems. Groves loved sports particularly basketball and football. He also was musically talented and played the guitar beautifully. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He will be remembered most for being a truthful person. His family will remember his love of the Bible and faith.

Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Mary Queen of All Saints, formerly St. Cecilia Church, 4824 Camden Avenue in Pennsauken. Interment William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
