Obituary of Hector L Ortiz

Hector L. "China" Ortiz, age 54 of Brooklawn, New Jersey, passed away on March 4, 2018. Beloved son of Milagros Ortiz and the late German Gonzalez-Ortiz; Devoted father of Tia Burgos (Peter), Nilsa Matthews (George), Edna White (Charles), Evelena and Shylina Ortiz; Loving grandfather of Marielena, Briana, Eliza, Nevaeh, Dazani, Dwayne, Joshua, Jonise, Makhi, Julien, Malaysia and Royalty; Dear brother of Edna, Alice and Joaquina Ortiz, Ildefonso Gonzalez and the late Jose and Pedro Ortiz. China loved football, basketball and handball and was a huge Redskins fan. He rode his bicycle everywhere and was also able to fix them. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes and was a "professional cheater" at both. He loved shooting pool and watching wrestling. He also loved yard sales, and making his own yard sales. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday from 10 to 11:30 AM at the Parish of Mary, Queen of All Saints, 4824 Camden Avenue in Pennsauken, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.
