Obituary of Barbara A. Smith

Barbara A. Smith (nee Fernandes), age 85 years, of Lawnside, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Lexton Smith. Devoted mother of Lexton Smith (Zaundra), Cheryl Andino (Rafael), Steven Smith (Tracey), Jeffrey Smith (Jean), Jason Smith (Deborah) and Sheila Smith (Hayes). Loving grandmother of Deleon, Rafael Jr., Rodney, Qiana, Steven, Kenneth, Ryan, Brandon, Erica, Noah, Lexton, Jeffrey, Jason, Ne'Cole, Theodore, Sabrina, Steven, Paige, Jason, Chervonne, Sheila, Shaleis and Wayne and great grandmother of 26. Dear sister of Evelyn Feaster, Jackie Fernandes-DeMari, Judy Fernandes and Earl Graham Chase. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Prior to retirement, Barbara work at JFK Cherry Hill Hospital in the housekeeping department for almost 20 years. She enjoyed shopping, reading and cooking for everyone and anyone, even strangers. Barbara was loving, caring, compassionate and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She devoted and dedicated her life to her family and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Saturday from 9 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden.
