what a legacy you have left for us to fill..... even tho we didn't think that you were teaching us to fill..... silently you were ......as i sit and go thru the files in my head each one ends with something you said or did ..... I want and promise to teach them all to our children and your great grandchildren ....but most importantly you taught us how to love if it was the wawa girl or the fire fighter we saw some where you were always part of the conservation " Hey do you know my DAD ???? " he came here for coffee or he was the CHIEF of Cherry Hill # 1 but the best gift of all is you taught us to LOVE each other !!!! I think I can speak for all of us it is with tearful eyes and a joyful heart that WE LOVE YOU DAD !!!! Robin Maureen Lisa Amy Jill Karen and Richard

Our deepest condolences goes out the the entire Harley family. I served with Dick at station 13-7 for nearly 20 years. He was a great man and was a father figure to so many. He was even in my wedding. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Until we meet again in heaven, Rest In Peace Dick, I will love you forever!!!!!

Chief Harley will be forever remembered by generations of men and women who for whatever period of time, called CHFC #1 home. One can not help think of Dick and not recall his beloved brother and life member Tommy. Both will be dearly missed. Over the years, Dick filled many roles in the department. I think the one we will most remember him in is that of an ambassador. He knew everyone, could reach out to ask for and to offer help at a moments notice. Always keeping his fellow firefighters and family in the forefront of his concerns. He was a mentor to generations, in fighting fires and learning the business side as well. He has touched and help countless lives during his time with us. It has been an honor for our members to have served with him and he will not soon be forgotten. On behalf of all of the members of Cherry Hill Fire Company #1 God bless and rest in peace.
