Obituary of John Francis Soda

John F. "Poppy" Soda, age 90 of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully at Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill, New Jersey on May 16, 2018 with his loving family at his side. Beloved husband of 61 years of Carmela R. (nee Troncone); Devoted father of Kenneth (Sonya) Soda and Pamela (Edward) Fitzgerald; Loving grandfather of Emily and Timothy Fitzgerald and Joshua and Madison Soda; Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Soda was employed with J. Wallace Smith Co. for 52 years. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II, and was an active member of St. Peter's Church in Merchantville. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday from 6 to 8 PM and Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 W. Maple Avenue in Merchantville. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Cherry Hill.
