Obituary of Carmen D Perez

Carmen D. Perez, age 67 years, of Camden, passed away on June 10, 2018.  Beloved daughter of the late Jose Perez and Maria Diaz.  Devoted mother of Lisa Y. Reyes.  Loving grandmother of Giovanni Overton.  Dear sister of Maria Bolanos, Elvira Perez, Rogelio Perez, Hilda Santiago, Milagros Martinez, Pedro Perez, Roberto Perez and the late Jose P. Diaz, Nerieda Perez, Adminda Perez and Alvaro Perez.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Prior to retirement in 2014, Carmen was employed as the executive director at Puerto Rican Unity for Progress (PRUP) in Camden for over 30 years.  She was a founder of the San Juan Bautista Parade in Camden and was very involved in the annual Three Kings celebration at PRUP.  Carmen was active in providing assistance and services to her community and developed an afterschool program and summer camp for the kids in Camden City.  She loved life and enjoyed traveling but most of all cherished time spent with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 9-10 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd, where a Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10 AM.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PRUP 818 Broadway, Camden, NJ 08103.
