When I was a freshman in college, Juan took me under his wing as a little brother. We had a Camden/Pennsauken connection so he wanted to look out for me, being an upperclassman. He let me and all my friends be his friend. He was respected by everyone so it gave us some cover which was nice, being kid freshmen. The guy was extremely intelligent. He could hold his weight in the depths of any conversation. The girls thought he was handsome and he had a charming personality. Felt good to be Juan’s young boy. I’ll always remember and be proud those years and that Juan.
My prayers and love go out to the Gonzalez family and especially Juan’s mother. Things got tough at the end but your love didn’t deteriorate. God bless you all.
