I was very sorry to hear about the death of Mrs. Sophie Colacci. She had been my nextdoor neighbor since 1954. I have many fond memories of all the good times and get-togethers I had had with the Colacci family, in the 50s., 60s, and early 70s. May God comfort all family members, friends, relatives, and acquaintances of Mrs. Sophie Colacci, in this time of sorrow. I am VERY GRATEFUL she had had a good, long life!

My heart just leaped when your picture popped up Aunt! People ask why I call you Aunt when really we are second cousins..but you have always been my Aunt Sophie.. I remember when Mommy was teaching and I would have "cramps" in elementary school - I got to spend the day on your sofa..under the mirrors.. I remember always coming to your house..and stopping first to say hi to Uncle Carmen on the porch ( he was smoking a cigar) and then coming in and always wanting to see what Patti was doing with her drawings and paintings. And Robert would play with me Andy... Then you were my Confirmation sponsor and you bought me a beautiful ribbon ring with pink stones- I still have it..I chose you because your faith in God was so strong..you loved God and knew He would watch over you in good times and bad.. then you were my lunch date when I started working in Cherry Hill as a designer..you helped me decide to quit my one job...then you fed me lunch every day when I was pregnant with Gab..you'd have my sandwich ready and waiting..and then you were Aunt Sophie to my Gab and Nani..cheese toasts and little cookies and walks to the playground..and through it all you were an awesome mom and a best friend to my mom who misses you terribly. But our Aunt Sophie memories are stories to tell forever. Rest in Peace beautiful Aunt...I'll still talk to you on my ride home just like I always did and you will ask me, "Are you driving?" I'll always love you! - Mary Ann
