Nancy and Family,
You have Sue’s and my heartfelt condolences on your loss. Sam was one of the great ones.
I will always remember how he would to come to our house on Carman Street to fix one of the original RCA Color TV sets. He would always tell us about the family and how work was going.
Sam was one of the most gregarious personalities at the Thanksgiving Day dinners. He kept things lighthearted and helped us all to have fun. And he was so proud to have a basement large enough to fit us all in for dinner.
When I was old enough, he invited me to the St Stephen's Men's dinners. A great rite of passage from boy to man. Bought my first 50-50 ticket there.
Sam is someone who will always remain in my memories.
I will be unable to attend the Saturday services (my apologies) as I will be in NC for the Thanksgiving weekend. However, Sam will be in our thoughts and I will give our grandson a hug in his honor. There will be a toast to and a prayer for Sam during our Thanksgiving dinner.
