Obituary of Raymond L. Skinner

Raymond Lee Skinner, age 76 of Haddon Township left this earthly existence, surrounded by family and friends on December 4, 2018. Ray was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley of California.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Mae Jacobs Skinner; his brother and sister in law Don & Lynn Skinner of CA; a sister Jeanette Belt of OK; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his children Linda Habay, Dana Gonzales and Michael Skinner, all of CA; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was a good husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

He worked and retired from the UFCW as a defender of worker's rights. After retirement, he moved to NJ, married the love of his life, Mae and started the Eleventh Step bookstore in Haddon Township. He was an avid boater, a capable mechanic, an accomplished IT person, photographer, lover and teacher of gadgets. His love for people was never more evident than in his storytelling and humorous reminiscing. He enjoyed speaking at many events and presented many book reviews. His talents were numerous; his character makeup of love, tolerance, helpfulness, tenacity and honesty are just some of the many positive traits he possessed. He was a dedicated member of the AA fellowship for 33 years, and he was a helping hand to all who knew him.

All those who would like to pay last respects are invited to a Visitation on Saturday, 12/15 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Memorial Service will be held at 4:00.
