Obituary of Monique Lees-Genda
Monique Lees-Genda, age 68 years of Mt. Laurel, formerly of Collingswood, passed away on December 26, 2018. Beloved wife of John D. Devoted mother of Julie Bennetsen (Karl) and step mother of Nicholas and Jeff Genda. Loving grandmother of Vanessa, Selene, Maria, Brandon and David. Dear sister of Donald Lees, Elizabeth Bankes and the late Edward Lees. Also survived by her aunt, Eurma Martin and many loving nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Prior to retirement, Monique worked for many years in sales. She volunteered her time at Virtua in Mt. Holly and Mt. Laurel and was a former volunteer and President at the Philadelphia Art Museum. Monique was the true matriarch of the family and was always there to give advice. She was loving and loyal and always saw the good in people. She enjoyed reading, travelling and family trips to Cape May.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 10 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken, 6600 N. Browning Rd, where a Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
