Croce, age 90 of Haddon Township, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2015 at Cooper River West Nursing Home in Pennsauken. He was born in Camden, New Jersey, the last surviving of six children to the late Francesco and Adalgisa Croce, who came to this country from Cellino Attanasio, Italy in 1913. He was formerly married to the late Adeline Dovi Croce and spent many years with the late Bernadette Haehner. Beloved father of Frank (Nancy) and the late Arthur Croce and stepfather of John and the late Silvio DiMedio; Loving grandfather of Gina (Tom) McGuire, Laura Croce (Eric Heisman), Avio Francesco Croce, Heather (Vincent) DelGrosso, Christopher DiMedio and great grandfather of Tommy, Nicky and Fiona McGuire, Colin Heisman, Abigal DelGrosso, Alexandre Hinton-DiMedio; Dear brother of the late Nicholas, Remo, Fulvio, Sergio and Norma and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Avio served in the Pacific Theater with the United States Navy during World War II. He worked for over 40 years as a meat cutter for A&P supermarkets and served as union steward for Local 56 of the meat cutter's union. An avid Phillies fan, Avio coached his sons' Little League team and was a devoted supporter of Bishop Eustace Prep School. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Catholic Community of Christ Our Light, 402 Kings Highway North in Cherry Hill. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
