Obituary of Catherine M. Milorey

Catherine M. Milorey (nee Sofia), age 94 years, formerly of Laurel Springs, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2019. 

Beloved wife of the late Thomas N. Milorey.  Born in Lorain, Ohio to Italian immigrant parents, the late Anna (nee DiNatale) and Gaetano Sofia and raised in South Philadelphia with her brother, the late Anthony Sofia.

Catherine graduated from South Philadelphia High School in 1942 and went on to work for 32 years as a Secretary to the President of Heintz, Kelsey Hayes Corporation.

In 1978, Catherine married the love of her life, Tom Milorey. They were married for 40 years until his death in May 2018.

In retirement, Catherine enjoyed decorating her dollhouses that were handmade by Tom, playing the "nickel" slots at the Casinos, was an avid baker and made the “Best" pizzelles in town!  And of course doting on her loving family. 

Dear Aunt of Gary (Liz) Sofia, Maria (Joe) Haas, Joanne Sofia, Maria Rosa Milorey and Christian J. Zizelmann. Great-Aunt of Joshua (Gail) Haas, Lauren (Chris) Pfeiffer, Emily Haas, Andrew (Brittany Clemente) Sofia, Kristen Sofia, Derrick and Christian E. Zizelmann.  Great-Great Aunt to Morgan, Chase & Aiden Haas and Rylie & Reagan Pfeiffer.  Dear sister in law of the late Helen (Marinelli) Sofia, Virginia Zizelmann, Rose Milorey and Rosa Milorey.

Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation and Funeral on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 9 AM at the Falco /Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM.  Interment will follow at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
