Obituary of Emma Jean Harris

Emma Jean Harris, age 78 years of Pennsauken, formerly of Bridgeton passed away on March 2, 2019.  Devoted mother of Deana R. Treadwell (James), Jeri Treadwell (Donnel), William Lane (Tangela) and the late Steven D. Lane Sr. (Arletha).  Loving grandmother of James David Treadwell III, Steven D. Lane Jr. (Kiera), Donnel T. Treadwell Jr., Gabrielle M. Treadwell, William Lane Jr., Shannon T. Treadwell, Kayla Lane and Faith Lane and great grandmother of Geremy Navarro Jr.  Dear sister of  Norman A. "Tony" Williams, Michael L. Williams and the late Sharon R. Williams.  Also survived by her former husband and the father of her children, Willie R. Lane as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to retirement in 2005, Jean was employed as a Social Worker for many years in both Burlington and Camden Counties.  She did missionary work in Costa Rica, Brazil and Haiti and was an active member of the Gatekeeper's Fellowship Church.  Jean was fondly known as the "Mother" of the church, where she enjoyed singing and teaching.  She was also a teacher at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Camden.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 9 AM at the Gatekeeper's Fellowship Church, 3600 Earl Avenue in Pennsauken, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Pennsauken.
