Obituary of Carmen J. Mazzuca

Carmen J. Mazzuca, age 91 years of Merchantville, passed away on March 22, 2019.  Beloved husband of the late Florence (nee Buschka).  Devoted father of Robert Mazzuca (Donna).  Loving grandfather of Santino and Isabella.  Dear brother of the late Connie Bisbiglia, Gloria Rice and Yolanda Elia.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to retirement, Carmen was employed at RCA in Camden and then Deptford for 52 years, where he was a Union Official, manager and later a consultant.  He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War serving as a medic stationed in Alaska.  Carmen was a former member of the Sons of Italy, loved a good cigar, trips to the casinos and doing his own yard work until the age of 90.  He enjoyed travelling with his wife Florence, fishing, crabbing and eating seafood.  As a young boy, Carmen would make homemade wine with his grandfather in the basement of his home in Philly.  Carmen will be remembered as a truthful and distinguished man, a man of integrity and someone with a strong moral compass. 

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 10-11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 W. Maple Ave in Merchantville.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Chews Landing.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SMART Veterans Group to support Veterans Health Care.  Checks can be made to SMART Treasurer, 17 Crested Butte Court, Shamong, NJ 08088 or you can call 609-304-2904 for credit card transactions.
