Obituary of Andy Plaza

Andy Plaza, age 44 of Sicklerville, passed away on April 18, 2019 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, New Jersey. He was born in Camden, New Jersey on November 8, 1974 to Andres and Sonia (nee Rivera) Plaza; is the devoted father of Arianna D., Andrew A. and Adrianna C. Plaza; dear brother of Deyanira Santiago, Charlene Plaza-Hidalgo and her husband, Andy's best friend and brother in law Nelson Hidalgo, and Aracelis M. Plaza; cherished uncle to his "Wonder Twins" Nelson Andres and Nelania Andrea Hidalgo; loving godson of Delia and Francisco Ruiz and dear nephew of Rafael (Mara) Plaza, Wilfredo (Irma) Plaza, Luis A. (Rosa) Plaza, Ardames (Judy) Plaza, Carmen (Angel) Gonzalez, Ramona (Jose) Gonzalez, Wilma (Carlos) Rivera, Ismael Rivera, Angel Santos and Ramon (Carmen) Rivera. He is also survived by many cousins, friends and co-workers. Andy worked as a juvenile probation officer for the State of NJ, working out of their Cherry Hill office. He was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School, where he played football and received his Bachelor's Degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Rutgers University. Andy loved spending time with his children, friends and family and enjoyed watching wrestling, Philadelphia Eagles football and Netflix. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 642 Market Street in Camden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Wednesday. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
