Obituary of William M. King

William "Bill" King, age 79, passed away on May 30, 2019, surrounded by his family. William was born in Camden, N.J. on September 13, 1939 but resided in Cherry Hill, N.J. for the majority of his life. He was the longtime business owner of Bill King's Moving and Storage. In his youth, Bill was a star athlete, playing basketball and football, and an avid marathon runner. He ran the Boston Marathon numerous times as well as the Marine Corps Marathons. He also was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran. He loved meeting with his friends for 7 am donuts, in addition he enjoyed his trucks, animals, doodling, patriotism, and people of all walks of life. He did so much for the community, including donating to Saint Jude, Toys for Tots, Ronald McDonald House, Wounded Warriors, and many more. Bill was a kind and gentle man. His smile and comedic ways were infectious. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Lucille (nee Meglino), his daughter, Patricia and Joseph Kurtz, two granddaughters, Christina and Kimberly, sister, Geraldine, sister in law Ann "Anita" and her wonderful lab Abby, cousin's, nieces, nephews, and life long friends. He will be deeply missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, June 5th at the Catholic Church of Christ Our Light, 402 Kings Highway in Cherry Hill. Visitation is at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to his wife for her to donate to his favorite charities and to help cover medical expenses.
