This is Gail Rys, President of Greyhound Pet Adoptions of Delaware. I worked closely with Bill throughout the time when he adopted Skye and I've been in contact with him during the past several years. I can not tell you how sorry all of us who knew Bill are about his passing. He shared his sad news with me and with Jim and Lessa Shiffer (who fostered Skye when he first arrived from the track) last October (2018) and we assured him that we would take care of Skye. He was such a wonderful "dad" to Skye and we will miss his kindness and his smile at all of our walks and events.
Please accept the heartfelt sorrow that all of us in the Delaware greyhound community feel. Bill was a terrific man and our hearts are breaking with you.
