I had the pleasure of working with Barb for many years at U.S. Vision. As soon as I saw the photo of her mom I couldn't believe how much they look alike!
I never had the pleasure of meeting Barb's mother but I feel I knew her a little through the many stories she would tell of her. We were both going through similar situations with our mothers being in poor health at times. One thing I know for sure is that Barb was a wonderful and caring daughter to her mother in both good times and bad.
Those are traits that are not born in us but are taught. So not knowing Barb's mother personally is ok, since I knew her through Barb. She raised a wonderful daughter and that's all I need to know.
Barb, I will never presume to know how you feel or what you are going through but losing my mother recently as well, I know how hard that is. Hold on to every great memory because they will remind you how special she was and how special your relationship was. If you are like me, you will find yourself still talking to her from time to time. Know that she is listening and still lives on through you.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and wish you all the best.
