Obituary of Nemecio Colon
Nemecio Colon, age 83 years of Merchantville, passed away on December 14, 2019. Beloved husband of Antonia Roman and the late Maria Colon. Devoted father of Ruben Colon, Luz Martinez, Midgalia Vega, Nelson Colon, Sandra Colon, Anibal Colon, Maria Elena Colon, Luis Alfredo Colon, Marisol Colon, Elizabeth Colon and Nancy Colon. Loving grandfather of 37 and great grandfather of 39. Dear brother of Luis, Chinchito, Alfredo and Felix Colon and Costancia Valentin and the late Antonio and Moncho. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Nemecio helped raise and was a big part of Antonia's nine children's lives, as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. He worked for many years in the restaurant industry as well as farming. Nemecio liked fishing in his younger years and enjoyed working on his car. Most of all, he was a family man, he cherished the time he got to spend with each of them and will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday from 6-8 PM and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Rd. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
