Pop pop was always so generous and thoughtful with us. I recall this one year where I had fully set my sights on this one doll. On Christmas, Pop pop got it for me. I remember how it brought him to tears when he heard how happy I had been. Thank you for making my Christmas, Pop pop. I wish we had more time together, but now it's time to take that old country road back home. Go take in the sights of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We love you.

Poppop, you have always been kind to my sister and I. I remember how much you loved to see the art work that we would make. Seeing your reactions to all the wild characters we would draw always made me laugh. I am going to miss those the most. I remember when he would take me to Garden State Race track and the time I picked a horse to win. I still remember the name of the horse, "clickety-clack". The horse came in first place!!. The best part about it was that I had no idea what I was doing and just picked him out of the blue. My dad of course was amazed and thought I was a genius, LOL. Unfortunately for him, he let me pick the next three races, they all lost of course. OMG, he was Sooooo mad, that was a good time. There was also nothing better than sitting there watching a boxing match and I would crack up watching him twitch and move as if he was in the ring, he didn't even realize he was doing it, he would get so mad when I imitated him and laughed, hilarious!!! Pop was definitely one of a kind, from his laughs to his tirades no body else like him.

As I think back and sort through my memories, I remember our talks about what horse would win the race or what flower we felt was the most beautiful. You shared stories from your childhood in Puerto Rico and how wonderful my grandmother was. We had moments while talking on the phone that I would make you laugh until you cried. I will miss your laugh and your silly jokes, but what I will miss the most is seeing you, and hearing that boisterous laugh of yours. I miss you terribly but I know that you are with God and my sister. That offers me comfort and peace. We will be together again one day. Rest in peace Pop I love you more than words can say.
