Obituary of Carmen D. Rivera

Carmen D. Rivera, age 80 years of Camden, passed away on April 29, 2020. Devoted mother of David Mejias, Carmen L. Mejias, Jose M. Mejias (Maria Navarro), and Daniel Mejias. Loving grandmother of Cristian A. Martinez and Derek Rosas. Dear sister of Elsa M. Rivera, Mary N. Rivera, Ana A. Rivera, Luis A. Droz, Nelson Droz, Jorge A. Droz, Anguel L. Rivera, Mario A. Rivera, and Manuel Rivera. Also survived by Juan R. Mejias and many loving nieces and nephews Carmen loved cooking delicious meals and cakes throughout the year. But during the holidays her cooking skills were magnificent. She enjoyed watching cooking TV shows. You would always find her reading cooking books and learning new recipes. She also had a passion sewing sweaters and quilts by hand. Carmen shared wonderful memories traveling with her children on vacations, visiting tourist sites, relatives and friends. On the weekends Carmen loved watching variety TV shows. Her favorite show was “Sabado Gigante” hosted by Don Francisco on Univision. Carmen's hobbies included gardening vegetables and keeping her precious flowers blossoming in the spring. However, Carmen’s favorite time was spending quality time with her children. Celebrating birthdays, holidays, love and life. A time that would last forever. Services for Carmen are being held privately due to the current public health crisis caused by COVID19.
