Obituary of Felicita "Fela" Ramirez
Felicita “Fela” Ramirez, 84, was born to the late, Pablo Ramirez and Victoria Castro in Aguas Buena, Puerto Rico, on July 30, 1935. She entered Heaven’s gates on May 10, 2020.
As a resident of North Camden since 1971, she was a homemaker and amazing cook. She loved to cook for her family, especially her grandchildren. At any given time, you could find her in the kitchen, or singing her made up nursery rhymes to the little ones. She was lively and full of energy, getting her to sit and relax was never an option. Her house was always home to all of the family. It didn’t matter if you needed a warm meal, some advice or even a shoulder to cry on… she just always made life better.
Fela is survived by 5 children Raul (Marylynn), Aida “Tata”, Rafael (Ivey), Margarita “Margie”, Pedro (Saly), 10 grandchildren: Emily (Richard), Edward “Scooby” (Jessica), Melissa, Angelica “Angie”(Angel), Natalie (Larry), Rafael “Puchi”(Lauren), Devin, Josselie “Josie”(Xavier), Melanie “Mumu”, Joselito (Devin), 17 great grandchildren: Diana, Sandy, Shauni, Aliyah, Joseph “Jag”, Romeo, Eddie, Aryana, Laryssa, Nina, Lillian “Lilly”, Lana, Gabby, Gionni, Lorenzo, Londyn, Santino, 2 great great grandchildren: Nico, Ellie, and multiple siblings, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her spouse Angel Vargas (2014), 2 daughters Carrnen (?) and Nancy (2015) and multiple siblings
She had an amazing spirit about her. She pushed us toward faith in God no matter what. She gave us hope, support and more love than anyone could ever imagine. She was strong and understanding, but most importantly she made sure we all understood the importance of family and unity. She will be missed more than words can express.
Services for Fela are being held privately due to the current public health crisis caused by COVID19. Interment will take place at Morgan Cemetery in Cinnaminson
