Shocked, is how I felt to learn the news of Joe’s passing. We were “the Boys of C Company”. 4 years we spent together growing up at Valley Forge Military Academy. From the lowly Plebe to the senior First Classmen, we weathered it all together. Shoveling snow thru the bitter winters, marching EVERYWHERE, tiring Football practices. . . You name it, we did it . And if you ever needed a little help, Joe was always willing to be there. I remember a few weekend trips to the Hillside Motor Lodge too. I remember the race horse “Cadet Joe.” Such a kind soul, my friend, my brother, Joe Piarulli. You are Loved and will be missed by many, including me. Heaven has gained an. Angel. . . . We will meet again my Brother, . . . But , not yet, not yet. Bob Dorgan VFMA ‘77.

My condolences to the Piarulli family. I started working with Joe 6 years ago and we hit it off right away. I'll miss his larger than life personality. He always put a smile on his face, he will be missed. RIP.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Joseph. I am so sorry for the Piarulli family’s great loss. I was very fond of Joseph and enjoyed talking with him when our paths crossed. He was sweet, loving, caring, compassionate and seemed to really care about you as a person. His Uncle Joe Piarulli was also my Uncle from his late wife(Louisa Jane Mosley)
I am grateful to have known him. It’s a gift. He is a precious flower I will keep in my memory garden of unique people That touched my heart.
Most Sincerely,
Betty Ann COSDEN DESimone

Joe you are one of a kind. I will miss you immensely. Thank you for caring and always listening to me. Even though you were my boss you always trusted my judgment and allowed me to make decisions..Thank you for your big smile & warm heart. You always cared for the well-being of others, placing yourself last.Thank you for always checking on me and coming to the rescue whenever I needed you.Thank you for all the great restaurant suggestions and always making me try something new.I'm going to miss our talks, late night coffee runs, debates and laughs. You were apart of my everyday life, I instantly without a second thought think of you when I need someone to brighten my day or when there's a problem no one else can solve. Time will eventually erase my dependence on calling on you, but time will never erase the cherished memories and the love I have for you. My heart is broken, but I know your resting in the arms of the one who loves you the most. I am grateful that God blessed me with the pleasure knowing you. Sleep well my friend! You are loved and will never be forgotten...Until we meet again..
My condolences to the Piarulli family, you are in my prayers....
