Obituary of Norma I. Alvarez

Norma I. Alvarez, age 61 years of Camden, passed away on June 12, 2020. Norma was born on August 9, 1958 in Camden, NJ. Cherished daughter of Lydia E. Morales and Jorge Santos. Devoted mother of Jose Nieves (Sherry) and Nigell Serrano (Andrea). Loving grandmother of Joziah, Juda, and Amor. Dear sister of Basilia Santos (Greg). Caring aunt of Francesca Morales. Norma is preceded in death by her brother, Luis Morales, and her grandmother, Francisca "Paca" Matos. Norma obtained her GED in 1972. Afterwhich, she trained as a phlebotomist and has worked at various health centers over the years. Norma had a beautiful voice and was inspired by singing hymns. In her spare time, she also enjoyed playing card games. Norma will be remembered for her lively spirit and joyous smile. Services are being held privately at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Road. Norma’s cremated remains will be interred at Arlington Cemetery with her grandmother on Wednesday, June 17, at 11 AM.
