Obituary of Felix Miranda - Zayas

Felix “Deacon Tito “Miranda-Zayas of Camden, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2020 at 79 years of age. Beloved husband of Luisa (nee Pizarro) for 61 years. Devoted father of Luis (Maria) Miranda, Jose (Marisol) Miranda, Wanda (Ronald) Miranda – Lattanzio, Rick (Jennifer) Miranda, and Zaida Aviles. Loving grandfather of Amanda, Alyssa, Alexandra, Antonio, Andres, Michael, Christina, Ricardo Jr., Rolando, Britney, and Briana and cherished great grandfather of RJ, Amelia, Alaina and Scarlett. Dear brother of Jose (Ana) Miranda. Also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews. Felix was a proud Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Machinist for several industrial companies throughout his career. He was a faithful Catholic who was ordained in 1997 as an official Deacon. He dedicated his time to Our Lady of Fatima, Holy Name, St. Anthony of Padua, Sacred Heart and most recently the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. He was president of the “Curcillistas,” and a member of the Holy Name Society. In addition to his devotion to the Church, Felix was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. His favorite pastime was watching Notre Dame football with his children and loved attending Philadelphia Phillies games. He had a love for animals and sheltered many throughout his life. He also enjoyed gardening and the outdoors. He had a generous heart and touched many lives in the Camden community, he will be greatly missed. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Friday July 31, 2020 from 5PM to 8PM at the Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 Browning Road in Pennsauken. At the request of the family, friends of Felix and the family are welcome to attend; however, due to COVID capacity restrictions, we ask that you limit your stay so that others can pay their respects. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 642 Market Street, Camden, NJ, 08102, however, due to NJ State mandates indoor attendance is limited.
