Obituary of Hector Torregrosa-Santiago

Hector Torregrosa-Santiago, age 85 years of Camden, formerly of Guayama, Puerto Rico, passed away on August 7, 2020. Beloved husband of 58 years of Petra Torregrosa (nee Carmona). Loving son of the late Fernando Torregrosa and Ortencia Santiago. Devoted father of Edith (Lanten) Carstarphen, Ernesto Antonetty Rivera, Elena Figueroa and the late Margarita Torregrosa, Dear brother of Rafaela Torregrosa and the late Iluminada Torregrosa, Hilda Torregrosa, Purin Torregrosa, and Fernando Torregrosa. Loving uncle of Hector “Pito” Martinez, Felix “Felo” Diaz, Felix Diaz Jr., Arleen Mercado, Michael Enriquez, Ernie Mercado, and Alex Gonzalez. Also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Hector was a devote Jehovah Witness and loved to talk and preach about Jehovah. He was also an Elder of congregation at the Mt. Ephraim Spanish in Camden, NJ. In his younger years, Hector loved to play baseball and as he got older, he enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Phillies and the Yankees. Hector also enjoyed watching old western movies and was a big fan of John Wayne and shows like Bonanza, The Rifle Man, and Little House on the Prairie. Most importantly, Hector loved his family. He was a very hard worker and always made sure to support them. Because of his faith in the resurrection according to John 5:28, 29, his family has hope to see him here on Earth as made a paradise. All services are being handled privately.
