Obituary of Edward F. Royster, Sr.

Edward F. Royster, Sr., age 78 years of Pennsauken, passed away on December 29, 2020. Beloved husband of Iris M. (nee Nieves). Loving son of the late Ernest Royster and Martha Reed. Devoted father of Pam Little, Edward Royster, Jr. (Helene), Anita Brown (Michael), Geanna Royster, Quiessence Giles (Isaiah) and the late Angela Owens. Loving grandfather of Amir, Ciara, Kia, Zion, Zach, Dymir, Deja, Saalih, Siraaj, Sabeeya, Sayyid, Zuri, Milton, Nagia, Rasheed, Tyshara, Khiree, Charles, Brynell, William, Dashawn, Brittany, Alice and the late Kevin Brown. Caring great grandfather of Amar'e & Amaya Graham, and a host of other great grandchildren. Dear brother of Marva Butts (Thomas), Louise Raleigh (Howard) and the late Ernest "Jake" Royster, Ronnie Royster, and Angela Dyer. Dear brother in law of Hector Nieves (Grisel), Nydia Guzman (Ralph), Eddie Nieves. Also survived by Pearl Royster and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Edward served as a proud United States Marine veteran. He was a member of The Rising Family Community Center and loved his church family. He enjoyed gardening, baby back ribs, home remodeling, construction, and interior design, especially with the Asian theme. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 9:30 - 11 AM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
