Obituary of Panayiotis Avgousti

Panayiotis "Pete" Avgousti, age 81 years of Berlin, passed away on January 14, 2021. Beloved husband of Athinoulla (nee Toutoundjian); Devoted father of Nick Avgousti; Dear brother of Stelios, Stacy, Dimos, Lia, Irene and the late Andy; Cherished grandfather of Samantha, Olivia and Nicholas; Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Pete was a loving parent and grandfather. He enjoyed being a coach of soccer with the Waterford Wings for many years and enjoyed volunteering at the the Greek agora each year at Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church. Pete was “the king of souvlakia.” Most importantly, he will be remembered as being a true friend to everyone and just an all around nice guy. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Thursday from 10 to 11:15 AM at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer Street in Cherry Hill. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks are required and social distancing must be observed.
