Nelson Martinez Vargas of Pennsauken, passed away at 74 years on January 20, 2021. Beloved husband of Wanda (nee Colon); Devoted father of Mikey Marcano (Oneida) Frances Galindez (Fernando) Nelson Alberto (Michelle), Danny Marcano (Christina), Suzette (David Carbucia), Nelson Enrique (Hannah Starnes); Cherished grandfather of Cassandra, Fabian, Liandra, Amanda, Joseph, Gabriel, Marcus, Lucas, Mia, Tyler, Alan, Arianna, Dominic, D.J., Aaron, Ava, Nikolai, Jazliana, Joel, Lailah and Matteo; Caring great grandfather of Carlenys, Joshua & Leo; Dear brother of Sergio Martinez, Juanita Martinez, Paula Martinez, Juan Martinez and the late Dominga Martinez-Pabon, Josefina Martinez-Vazquez and Carmen Nereida Martinez. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Nelson was an exceptional Counselor who loved to help his clients. He also was a baseball commentator, who worked for the Spanish Baseball Network. He took his baseball passion to the next level, and wrote for local newspapers. He also loved to play baseball, which he continued to play in adult softball leagues. His favorite positions were either pitcher or 3rd base. Nelson will be remembered most for having a great sense of humor, being a jokester and always having a smile on his face. Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Wednesday from 9-11 AM at Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 3425 River Road in Camden. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Harleigh Cemetery in Camden.
