Obituary of Morrell Flowers

Morrell Flowers of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Camden, New Jersey passed away on April 7, 2021 at 59 years. Son of the late Eddie & Florence Flowers (nee Davis); Loving father of Taj M. Mays; Devoted grandfather of Arin, Prince Taj and Carmi; Dear brother of Lauretta "Shugie" Flowers-Richardson (Gary), Irene K. Brown (Dave), Demaris Black (Bart), the late Eddie Flowers Jr., Orlando Flowers, Lena Flowers-Keith, LaTonja Kinard and Diana Flowers Moore; Caring best friend of Brian Allen; Cherished uncle to Lindel Richardson, Terrell Flowers, Rose Fitzgerald, Sonjeya Fitzgerald, Emerald Black, Barry Black and Storm Flowers; Beloved nephew of Andrew Flowers (Linda), John Flowers (Geraldine); also survived by Debra B. Ivey, special cousins Bertha Flowers, Preston Flowers (Sharon), and Aredella Flowers-Pearson, as well as many other cousins & friends; predeceased by his grandparents, Sarah and Jasper Flowers, and his great grandmother Irene Eubanks with whom he had a special bond. Morrell was a big teddy bear with a warm full heart. He loved listening to the Ebony's, enjoyed watching football especially the Minnesota Vikings. Morrell played offensive guard for the Woodrow Wilson football team where he graduated in 1979. He will be remembered for always making people laugh and he enjoyed reminiscing about good times. Relatives are invited to gather at 1:30 PM at Falco Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 Browning Road in Pennsauken. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at promptly 2 PM. At the request of the family final disposition is private. Masks must be worn at all times on the funeral home premise.
