Obituary of Daniel Hoffman

Daniel Hoffman, age 70 years of Homosassa, formerly of Camden, passed into the arms of God and the angels on Saturday morning, March 27th under the loving care of the HPH Citrus Hospice house in Lecanto FL. Dan was born in New York City to the late Donald and Lucy (Newsome) Hoffman. Danny moved to Camden NJ as a child, and joined the Camden Police Dept in 1972. He retired in 1997 after attaining the rank of Captain. He continued his education after retirement and graduated from Rutgers University with a Masters in Social work. Dan moved to Florida in 2005 where he became a realtor, then decided to continue his mental health counseling practice. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years Maureen (Willard) Hoffman; Loving father of Gina (Jason) Hoffman;, Anthony (Crystal) Hoffman: Lindsey (Brooke) Hoffman; loving stepfather of Kerry (Ginene) Mahoney and Colleen Mahoney. Dan adored his Grandchildren Cheyenne, Gianna, Joey, Gabe, Lori, Nathan, Ella, Zoey and Rina. Predeceased by his dear brother Ricky. Also survived by many good friends and relatives. Dan never lost his sense of humor throughout his battle with Parkinson's Disease and his cancer diagnosis, and he kept on battling until The Lord told him it was time to come home. Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 12-1 PM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM. Final disposition will take place privately.
