Hector L. Arce-Mercado, age 70 years formerly of Camden and Pennsauken, passed away peacefully at his son's home surrounded by his family on November 24, 2021.

Beloved husband of the late Nilda (nee Diaz).  Devoted father of Hector L. Arce II (Lourdes), Tiffany M. Santana (the late William) and Christopher Arce (Melissa).  Loving grandfather of William, Enrico, Daysean, Ashley, Ciara and Laianna.  Dear brother of Carmen, Wilda, Juan and the late Wilfred Arce.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Prior to retirement, Hector worked for the City of Camden as a mechanic for 15 years.  He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.  Hector loved spending time with his dogs Gizmo and the late Oreo, listening to salsa music and spending time in his garage working on cars.  He will be remembered as a sharp dressed man who always smelled good.  Hector cherished time spent with his grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew him.
