Obituary of Gaetano Spiritoso

Gaetano Spiritoso, age 93 of Cherry Hill, passed away on January 18, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill.

He is the beloved husband of the late Antoinette (nee Pescatore); Devoted stepfather of Rosemarie (Andrew) Fisher, Joann Bellucci, John (Jeanne) Bellucci and Dena (Kevin) McLaughlin; Loving grandfather of Nicole, John, Andrew, Alexandra, Madeline and Kathryn; Dear brother of Lucia (the late Santo) Campisi, Paolo (Elena) Spiritoso and the late Sabatino (Biagina) Spiritoso.  He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews and 2 great great nephews.

Mr. Spiritoso ran a produce warehouse in Italy until July 4th 1972.  He immigrated to the United States and then went to work as a press man at Hickey Freeman, and later for Clemens/Giant Foods for 15 years. On October 29th 1989, he married Antoinette, and lived in Huntington Valley then moved to Plumsteadville, PA.  After Antoinette's passing, he then moved to Cherry Hill where he lived with his sister. 

Mr. Spiritoso was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus since 1984.  He also loved soccer, going to the beach and spending time with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Monday from 8:45 to 9:45 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 At the the Church of Christ Our Light, 402 Kings Highway North in Cherry Hill.  Entombment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, PA.
