Obituary of Alma J. Ardire
Alma J. Ardire (nee Dickinson) age 95 years of Voorhees, formerly of Cherry Hill and Pennsauken, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 20, 2022.
Beloved wife of the late Philip G. Devoted mother of Linda Beach (James), Philip (Donna) and David (Carmela). Loving grandmother of Jimmy, Kristie, Ray, Mark, Paul, Philip, David, Andrew, Julianna and Steven and great grandmother of Emily, Nicholas, Erin, Sophia, Ryan, Kate, Alison, Clare, Luke, Eric, Paul, Will, Mae, Evelyn, Jacob, and Nolan. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Alma was born in Camden to the late Samuel and Elizabeth Dickinson. She attended Holy Name School in Camden and graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1945.
Alma was a longtime parishioner at St. Stephen's Church in Pennsauken and was active member of the PTA. She and her husband Philip were chair people for 20 years for the Camden Dioceses Anniversary Hour. Alma attended night school courses to learn different skills and obtained her real estate license and how to do calligraphy. She was excellent at sewing, making designer pillows among other things. Most of all Alma cherished time spent with her family and loved traveling with them and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 6-8 PM and Friday, June 24, 2022 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM at the Church of St. Stephen, 6300 Browning Road. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill
