Carlos Ruiz

Obituary of Carlos Ruiz

Carlos “Los” Ruiz, Jr., age 38, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

Carlos was born on June 16, 1984 to Carlito Ruiz Sr. and the late Nixa Santos.  He was raised in North Camden and spent most of his time being a positive role model to some while being a practical comedian to others.  Carlos attended the Camden City school district and graduated with a Diploma in Automotive Technology from Camden County Vocational Technical School with the class of 2002.

Carlos met his best friend and lifelong partner LaTasha Lowman in 2003 and recently celebrated their 20th anniversary.  From this union came one son Losan Ruiz and two bonus children Zaire Lowan and Tanjunah Jones.  He took extraordinary pride in raising his children.

He worked as a stock controller and forklift operator at IKEA distribution center for 10+ years and enjoyed debating union concerns with his union brothers and sisters.

Los favorite sport was football and he was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.  His passions were cars, clothes, sneakers, music and everything black.  He loved watching Food Network and cooking new recipes.  In addition, he loved spending time with his family.

Until we meet again, his love and legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of our family.  He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving wife LaTasha, devoted son Losan, bonus children Zaire and Tanjunah, 1 brother Michael Ruiz, 1 sister Giselle Ruiz, his father Carlito Ruiz and a host of other family members and friends.  Carlos will now spend eternity with his mother Nixa Santos, grandmother Dona Maria and Uncle “Rex” Eryc.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 9:30 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 North Browning Road, where a service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment with a special committal service will take place at Morgan Cemetery in Cinnaminson.
