Obituary of Carmella DiPietro

Carmella DiPietro (née Nardelli), age 76 of Marlton, NJ. On January 30, 2023 surrounded by her family.

 

Daughter of the late Michael and Mary (nee Bonetto) Nardelli. Carmella was born & raised in Camden, NJ. She attended Mount Carmel Grammar School and Camden Catholic High School, Class of ‘65.

 

She was a hairdresser until 1985 when she became a casino dealer at The Sands in Atlantic City. Carmella opened The Borgata and was there until her retirement in 2015.

 

Carmella loved her Phillies, Margate beach, her Italian heritage and going to Disney World. She loved all things leopard print, the redder her hair was the better. Color was her life, as she said.

 

Carmella was the “Life of the Party”. Known for her sense of humor and charismatic, fun-loving, sassy personality. She made friends with everyone and was loved by all.

 

Her proudest milestone was becoming a grandmother in 2015.

 

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 44 years, Richard DiPietro, her children, Michael De Luca, the late Marc De Luca, Dana (DiPietro) Fichter (Rick), grandson Dylan Fichter, brothers-in-law Tom DiPietro, John DiPietro, Nick DiPietro (Anita), nephew Nick DiPietro Jr. and many friends and family.

 

Relatives and Friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday, February 8th, from 6:30 – 8:30PM at Falco, Caruso, & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 N Browning Road in Pennsauken. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at the Church of Saint Joan of Arc, 100 Willow Bend Road in Marlton at 11:00AM. At the request of the family, final disposition will be held privately.
