Doa K. Nguyen of Swedsboro, passed away at Cooper Hospital on May 10, 2023 in Camden at 76 years.
Doa was born and raised in Quang Binh, Vietnam where he served as an officer in the South Vietnamese government. Following the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam war in 1975, Doa emigrated to America where he was instrumental in starting the Vietnamese Buddhist community in the Washington DC area. Doa spent the bulk of his career as a social worker with the Catholic Social Services. His primary focus was on helping Vietnamese families resettle into the US and helping them thrive through education, job placement, and community connection.
