Obituary of Harriet Phillips

Harriet Phillips (nee VanWinkle), age 81 of Merchantville, formerly of Willingboro, passed away on June 29, 2023 at Hackensack Meridian Hospital in Manahawkin.

 

Beloved wife of the late Richard C. Phillips; Devoted mother of Richard Jr. (Carol), Colleen (Guido) Babore, Maureen (Hans) Phillips-Houser and Doreen Wright; Loving grandmother of Christy, Devon, Jake, Isabel, Madison, Simon, Gabriella, Abaigeal, Brett, Reagan and the late Ricky; Dear sister of Linda (Edward) Soderstrom and the late James VanWinkle and sister-in-law of Adriane VanWinkle, Thomas Phillips, Patricia (late Peter) Pica, Charlotte (late Robert) Phillips, late Rosemary (late Patty) Montemurno, late Kevin Phillips and the late John Phillips.  She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

 

Harriet was a rulebreaker who forged her own path and always kept her family on their toes.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 West Maple Avenue in Merchantville. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown where Harriet will be laid to rest with her beloved husband.
