Obituary of Ruben Colon
Ruben Colon, age 65 years of Westville, formerly of Camden, passed away on July 22, 2023.
Beloved father of Carlos Ruben Colon. Dear brother of Luz Martinez (Carlos), Migdalia Vega (Angel), Elson "Nelson" Colon (Delia), Anibal Colon (Wanda), Sandra Colon, Merisol Colon, Luis Colon (Becky), Elizabeth Colon, Nancy Colon, and the late Maria E. Colon. Cherished boyfriend of Janet. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Ruben was born on August 6, 1957 to the late Memecio and Maria Colon (nee Montalvo). In his youth, Ruben enjoyed fishing along the shores of Puerto Rico. As he grew older, Ruben found joy in riding mopeds and treasuring the memories of his first car, a yellow Primo. He had a range of interests that brought happiness to his life, including roller skating, riding his 10-speed bike, dancing, and even boxing. He was known for his kind and helpful nature, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Ruben will be remembered as a lovable and respectful man. Above all, Ruben loved his family and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 6-9 PM at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, and Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 10-11 AM at St. Joseph Pro Cathedral, 2907 Federal Street in Camden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
