Obituary of Bruce Otto Gessner

Bruce Otto Gessner, age 67 years of Cherry Hill, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on September 3, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Otto H. Gessner III and Elizabeth (nee Bairstow).  Step son of the late Margaret Gessner.  

Beloved husband of Patricia M. (nee Savitsky) for 41 years.  Devoted father of Shannon Miller (Edward), Sean Otto Gessner and the late William Lokey.  Loving grandfather of Amber Vartebedian (John), Ava Miller, Ella Miller and Braeden Miller and great grandfather of Crew.  Dear brother of Brian Gessner (Liz), Barry Gessner (Sharon), and Steven "Rand" Greenfield (Cindy).  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Bruce was employed at Remington & Vernick Engineering in Cherry Hill and prior to that was employed at Wick, Fisher, and White Engineering in Philadelphia for over 20 years.  

He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed playing basketball.  Bruce was overjoyed with his apple pie making skills, perfecting his nans recipe.  He liked to dance, trips to Disney and going on cruises. Bruce was a proud alum of Susquehanna University and member of the TKE Fraternity.  Most of all, he loved to watch and attend his grandkids activities.  

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 12-1:30 PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Memorial Service will be celebrated at 1:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Friends Select School, 17th & Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19103
