Obituary of Estervina Ruiz

Estervina Ruiz (nee Arroyo), age 83 of Camden, passed away on October 18, 2023 at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden.  She was born on February 6, 1940 in Lares, Puerto Rico to the late Nicolas Arroyo and Alejandrina Vargas.

She is the beloved wife of Isidoro; devoted mother of Sonia Candelaria, Virgenmina Ruiz, Angel Ruiz, Rosa Figueroa, Zoraida Rivera, Erohita Ortiz, Jose Manuel Ruiz, Janette Ruiz-Gelman and Sandra Ruiz-Vega; dear sister of Rosa Arroyo-Vargas; Loving grandmother of 27, great grandmother of 29 and great great grandmother of 4.

Estervina enjoyed family gatherings, listening to music, dancing and playing dominoes.  She loved to cook and made the best arepas and pasteles.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday from 9 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
